The Boeing Supplier Quality (SQ) organization performs various supplier surveillance activities at the Supplier, or Supplier's subcontractor facility, under the contractual General Provisions (GP) addressing Boeing right of surveillance and review of goods, and related procedures, practices, and processes (e.g., GP1). The various supplier surveillance activities performed are designed to be proactive and preventive, rather than reactive, and to ensure conforming goods and services are provided to our customers.
SQ supplier surveillance activities range from supplier approval, to early involvement team building activities, to heightened surveillance activities. Frequency of surveillance activities may be adhoc to periodic based on business needs, risk conditions, and/or customer requirements. Examples of SQ supplier surveillance activities are listed below:
