The Boeing Company is an advisory board member to the Pew Center on Global Climate Change, which brings a new cooperative approach and critical scientific, economic, and technological expertise to the global debate on climate change.

Motor systems, including motors, drives, pumps, fans, compressors, and their control-system and mechanical-load components, account for nearly 75 percent of the electricity used by industry. More than 900 companies, including Boeing, have taken the Motor Challenge an initiative of the Department of Energy's Office of Industrial Technologies, offers you the tools to improve your plant's energy efficiency, enhance its environmental performance, and increase its productivity

 

Boeing is a charter member of EPA Waste Wise, a voluntary program for reducing business solid waste. Boeing Puget Sound and BNA -- Seal Beach, CA are active members.

EPA Energy Star is a voluntary program for developing a comprehensive energy efficiency and pollution prevention strategy. Boeing has reduced carbon dioxide emissions by nearly one million metric tons.

The Boeing Company is a Corporate Champion of EPA's Green Suppliers Network. The Network works with large manufacturers to engage their small and medium-sized suppliers in low-cost technical reviews that employ lean manufacturing techniques and sound environmental strategies to increase productivity, reduce waste, and boost profitability.
